Kendrick Whiteman is a Northern Arapaho and Turtle Mountain Chippewa filmmaker from the Wind River Reservation whose work blends Indigenous storytelling with psychological and atmospheric horror. A graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts, he has directed shorts such as Nightmare Therapy, Nightmare, and NT3, with screenings at IAIA, the Anchorage International Film Festival, and Red Nation.
His style centers on tension, character, and unsettling interior landscapes, shaped by on-set experience shadowing directors and working across departments. Kendrick continues to develop films that push Native horror into sharper, more intimate territory grounded in his lived perspective.
